Telcordia’s VPN Web application developed for the Brazil service provider OI enables authorized agents to administer VPN service for designated enterprise mobile subscribers using secure web browser. The testing involves testing of VPN, class, agent and subscriber management features.

Nortel’s NSS19 VoIP Solution introduces a complete Next Generation Network for the GSM and UMTS Voice Core. This solution is implemented using All-IP for both the bearer and control plane where the MSC Server (MSCS) provides the control plane network element.

NSS18 Release- R4 BICN Regression testing- Oct ’03- Nov ‘04

Nortel introduced a new R4 BICN architecture (Release 4 Bearer Independent Core Network) in a short release called NSS17.5. in their GSM networks. NSS18 Release introduced a new BICC protocol in additional to BICN. This needed regression testing of the Nortel MSCs for all the subsystems using new set of R4 test scripts.

Role: Test lead

Responsibilities:

1.                       Managed a large team of 15 members and successfully completed the conversion of 2000 R4 testcases before the given timelines.

2.                       Gained knowledge of new R4 BICN architecture, Media Gateways, H248 protocol and standards for GSM/UMTS networks by means of self learning and discussion with the development team.

3.                       Conducted training sessions to the entire team about new R4 architecture, protocols and specifications.

4.                       Calibrated and executed more than 400 R4 test cases in accordance with known modifications to the MSC software.
